Want to be seated right meow? That was the wink — and the product. Pet project inside our software agency: restaurants run waitlists easily; patrons skip the line on demand via bidding. Logo, identity, UX/UI, product research, user research, marketing strategy — even if the product was short-lived in the wild.
Frames that remain are sparse; the rigor behind them was not. Zero-to-one marketplace UX is a design-system problem early — restaurant ops and diner delight share components or the brand splits.
Today I’d ship a Figma design system with shared restaurant and diner components. Cursor and Claude-class agents would rapid-prototype bidding, waitlist, and empty states. Generative assist for brand and campaign exploration — keep the pun, don’t purple it.
When menu taxonomy, venue roster, or brand tokens change, automations fire downstream: diner app, restaurant console, email, and ads stay on-brand. Peers (agency, merchants, eng) connect to the same design engine. Host-stand clipboard and an agentic waitlist graph plus shared UI library are continuous — design systems, Cursor/Claude, marketplace automations at modern speed.
