North Beach San Francisco

Strengthen neighborhood community and the businesses inside it

The North Beach Business Association needed a public-facing brand arm: online CMS for merchants, news, and events; sidewalk brochure; occasional merchant print ads (e.g. Franciscan Crab Restaurant). Palette and photography carrying Beat poets through Italian cuisine in San Francisco’s Little Italy.

Art direction + craft. Community brand is event logistics and merchant campaigns in one voice — web, print, and ads have to move together or the neighborhood feels fragmented.

Today's stack for the same NBBA system

Today I’d run one Figma library for CMS templates, brochure, and social. Cursor and Claude-class agents would draft merchant blurbs and event kits on-token. Generative assist expands photo variety without generic stock.

When the event calendar, merchant roster, or brand tokens change, automations fire downstream: CMS listings, sidewalk flyer, and social regenerate from shared components. Peers (merchants, association, printers) connect to the same design engine. Walking Columbus Ave with a brochure and a live CMS plus componentized campaign kits are continuous — component libraries, Cursor/Claude, event/merchant automations as a neighborhood design engine.
